Bergen Makerspace Internship
284 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601
At my internship, I am able to put my curiosity and design skills to use. I experiment with new technologies and softwares such as the 3d-printers, Glowforge printers, and wood cutting tools. With access to advanced equipment, I work on personal projects that excite me and also colloborate with my peers to design a more welcoming makerspace for the rest of the community.
Chair
(in progress...)The Chair is an organic, ergonomic furniture piece designed to accomodate different postures and promote comfort in study settings. It will be constructed from recyclable cardboard using the slit-slot method. Key features will include a fold-out backboard that doubles as a table, as well as multiple storage compartments for convenience.
Currently, I am experimenting with AutoCAD and building miniature prototypes to test out the overall function and form of the design.
